I recently bought a DSI-XL
I also bought an Edge (not clone!) card.
Both Manic Miner and Warhawk have music issues.
Sound effects work fine, but the music is absent.
I have a 16gb microsd (With space left), and I have downloaded both versions (fat, EFS) of the files and the same results occur.
I really want to hear the hubbard track play in the title of warhawk and feel that I am missing out.
Has anyone else experienced issued with the latest hardware/firmware version of the handheld and card?
Regards,
Arthur.

There is such a myriad of cards out there that makes it tricky to get everything working across the board. I am not entirely sure what the issue is with this card. It cannot be file access as the levels in warhawk are stored externally to the main executable (as is the music), so - puzzling.

People have had success launcing the games through DSOrganise or Moonshall.

Hopefully this will cure it? It would be a great shame to miss out on the music.

I personally use AceKard 2i's now and have no problems with them. There is always the possibility the the firmware may be updated and cure the problem? But... Without a card ourselves it is very tricky to find.

thanks for the reply.
I am loathe to musck about with the edge by ading moonshell, as it is all set up exactly as I want.
I have no issues with any commercial (ahem) file.  I thought it must be the XL and new firmware on thre console.
A real shame, as I love homebrew, and applaud the efforts of all involved (Warhawk is a fantastic shooter in it's own right) and whilst SFX are spot on, I really miss the music...
I 'might' look into moonshell, but as all works, .....

Arthur.

Using moonshell is 'kinda' part of the firmware for most cards and a handy addition at times.

The problem is that both Warhawk and MMLL were written in Assembler. This is a bit tricky on the DS and you cannot rely on the libs created for C. Perhaps why these are the only 2 games (I know of) coded this way LOL

you could also try running hbmenu (you need only _BOOT_DS.NDS file, be sure to do not overwrite any of your existing files on your card) and run from there...
