Well.... Have this much so far....

(Grapple is gonna look at what he has and see if something can be made to work)

All the code is there and 95% complete - Just in lots of pieces :)

these are part of the completion (without the correct sprites loaded)

These are all images of the level editor (the game uses 3 character sets)
Looking at the settings, each alien could have a flag called "X". On one of the settings an alien could be made to attack another alien that may well be attacking you or run round an destroy all the bugs that you are meant to be collecting... All this works in the game code.
You could also collect powerups that would increase your fire power (and give autofire) up to a maximum of 256 bullets on screen at one time (not that this would ever be able to happen :( )

The text on the last picture spins and scales as it comes onto the screen.
