I thought I'd posted about this game before, but I can't find anything on here so perhaps I'm thinking about one of my many other unfinished games. Smiley Smiley

Black Widow is (another) vectorgraphics shooter. It's very much like a vector version of Robotron - only with insects.

I started working on this game in May 2010, worked on it for about two months and managed to make it about 75% complete, before (inevitably) putting it on the WIP-pile. Wink Which has been nagging at me ever since.

So, a month ago (after worked on a new Spectrum game, which is now on the WIP-pile instead) I decided to resume work on it, and I'm happy to say that it's practically done now. Yay! Smiley

Everything works now, all the features are there and there's only a minor (visual) bug to be fixed, so the only important thing left to be done is a bit of fine-tuning of the gameplay and difficulty.
Oh, and I need music for it too.

But it should be out very soon. Here's a few pictures in the meantime;

Looking wonderful Sokky ol' bean.

Looks like a great version, though I must admit to being a huge Robotron fan - Black widow never did it for me. No idea why though? But... I will certainly give it another try once released.

That's it - my Black Widow remake is finally completed and available for Windows and OSX.

...now, on to one of the 10.000 other unfinished projects I have lying around. Smiley Smiley

Flash, perhaps the reason it never clicked with you is that Black Widow isn't quite as frantic as Robotron?
I like Robotron and I like Black Widow too - I can't even say which one I like the most, but Black Widow is certainly the one I've played the most...but only because I decided to remake it. Before remaking it I'd played Robotron the most, but the similar gameplay and it being vector graphics are the two things that attracted me to it...and I've come to love it too.
